8 Brown Eyes has a unique story as to their beginning. They are a group of 4 sisters that not only play music together, but eat, sleep, share make-up and fight over the phone just like a normal family. The girls sing in harmony, and play their own instruments, and write their own music.

The group officially started in 1999, when their dad decided that he would make a trip to the local music store. He brought home a keyboard, a drum set, and the bass and electric guitars and then let the girls see what they could do. And well they've been doing great since! Both of their parents have backgrounds in music, their mother as a concert pianist, and their father, the product of his own rock band early on.
